The reigning king of South Asian/Indian couture fashion, Naeem Khan, sent masterpieces down the runway for his 10th anniversary show for showing at New York Fashion Week. With incredible pieces geared for the red-carpet, Khan’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection was a mix of heavy beading on sheer and airy fabrics, coral ombre chiffon, feminine tuxedos, heavily embroidered separates and chic ‘flapper like’ feathers. His woman was confident, ladylike and had a flair for the vintage with many of the pieces reminiscent of the 1920’s era.

The makeup done by the talented team at Francois Nars, was light on the eyes, with a frosty purple grey buffed all the way to the brow with no liner and no mascara. Anchored by a deep red, chocolate matte red lip, the whole look was rounded out with an off to the side french role.
My third season attending the Naeem Khan show, I am always amazed at how humble and kind he is! A true master of his art form and proud of his heritage, it’s always great to commiserate on familiar places in India and the talented craftsman in our native country.
