#WomensHistoryMonth-#KCClient Showcase: Rosemin Manji

Since it is #WomensHistoryMonth and I get to work with incredible women every day, I thought it was the right time to highlight an amazing #KCClient that I admire. The gorgeous Rosemin Manji hardly needs an introduction, but if you don’t know who she is, she is one of the most business savvy women I know. Rosemin has an incredibly successful management company, RR&Co, which focuses on bespoke luxury. No one, and I mean literally no one I know, understands the luxury fashion world like this lady. Not only was she approached by Tom Ford himself to join his team, she has a pair of Christian Louboutin heels named after her. So, you can say that she’s a true #ladyboss!FotorCreated

This January I went to Dubai where I met Rosemin and we instantly became friends. As a makeup artist, I get to meet so many amazing people but Rosemin really stood out because of her professionalism and her positive attitude. Working with a new face can always be a little intimidating, but we got along so well that our time together felt as if we were just two girlfriends hanging out rather than an assignment!

GoDubai chose Rosemin to show a glimpse of her life and I got to do the makeup for the amazing shoot! As the “Fashion & Luxury Entrepreneur of the Year” Rosemin hosted the fashion show at CityWalk Dubai! Rosemin’s name is synonymous with Arab opulence, so it was eye-opening to see Dubai from her perspective.

As you all know, the #KCSignatureLook is a smoldering smoky eye with a gorgeous nude, and it happens to be a look that Rosemin often rocks on and off the camera. I loved using a sooty black liner on her eyes as it went with all of the outfits she wore, and it symbolizes the popular use of kohl in Arab countries. I used Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Cordura & Alahambra to blend out the smoky eye makeup. This look is perfect for when you’re transitioning from day to night events, as it looks amazing when paired with an elegant and summery Fendi dress or a funky Gucci sweater!

Just when we were getting ready to part ways, something truly exciting happened: Ralph Lauren (yes, the Ralph Lauren) invited Rosemin to New York for #NYFW! The February 2017 Ralph Lauren show took place at the flagship store on Madison Avenue. Rosemin’s presence at the show complemented the theme of this year’s collection as, according to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia “it paid homage to the desert with a neutral palette featuring hints of animal print”.

For the event, Rosemin was dressed in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren, in a crisp white shirt and bespoke suit. Even though the jet lag was trying to get the best of us, we created a gorgeous airbrushed look where the signs of a long haul flight were nowhere to be seen! To prep her skin and create the perfect base, I loved using the Nurturing Force Blot Out Offensive shine + oil control cream. It maintains your makeup application for up to 14 hours which makes it perfect to use on the red carpet. On all of her looks, I used my beloved Kett cosmetics airbrush kit, which travels with me everywhere and helped in creating a flawless face. The foundation builds up beautifully without caking and looks incredible with and without flash.

Looking back at these past two months, I’ve had such an amazing time working with Rosemin, because she truly believes in empowering other women. It was so inspiring seeing her take on the crazy amount of work she has with a smile on her face and sky-high stilettos. Rosemin, you are one badass lady and I look forward to seeing you take over the world!
