How to achieve the ultimate terracotta soft glam ft. Carla Dennis!

Happy Thanksgiving week!

This year has gone by so fast that it is finally Holiday season! The air is crisp and everyone is excited for Black Friday- the beauty sales everywhere are constantly beckoning me and I can’t wait to splurge on some fantastic bundles. Make sure to check out my Instagram stories to see my favorite picks!

Now to the actual big news from last month. I got the pleasure of working with gorgeous Carla Dennis, a beautiful model from India who is now an upcoming name in Bollywood! This work was made possible by my good friend and style talent, Nisha Kundnani of Bridelan India, a celebrity stylist based out of Mumbai. Shout out to an amazing all women team!

Carla is naturally gorgeous, with tan skin and hazel eyes, chiseled cheekbones and a winning smile. The concept was minimalist feminine, so the makeup worked with both Eastern and Western outfits. I love this kind of look for any occasion, whether it is for coffee dates or presentations, late nights with the girls or a casual hang out.

I started with one coat of Kett airbrush foundation, which lasted the whole day and didn’t need any touchups. I kept the skin fresh and clean, to go with the theme of the outfits and the rest of the face. With such gorgeous and unique eyes, I wanted to elongate the eyeliner by giving her a subtle feline flick.
4Q8A0283-Edit.jpgI used Huda Beauty Dessert Dusk Palette and the Rose Gold Palette (both GREAT for a Christmas present!) in the terracotta shades: Saffron, Sandalwood and Henna, to add depth and warmth to the simple look. I smoked these colors out at the top and the bottom, and kept the glam light by not adding a black eyeliner (you can try this combo out with a black liner for an evening party). I topped the eyes with Ardell lashes for drama and definition.IMG_9145With a light dusting of Nars Casino bronzer, I added warmth and contour to her face. This bronzer is a makeup bag must have! I topped the cheeks with the Huda Beauty 3D highlight palette for a subtle highlight- I didn’t want to overdo the face, so a few brush strokes were good enough! For the lips, I didn’t bother with a lipliner and applied a coat of a brown nude to tie the whole look together. And voila! The look was completed!
